Name: Fae Gender: Male Species: {Aquatic}- He got an upgrade! Tracker Dog {c} Nex Breed: Silent Toxin Personality: Fae is a determined and headstrong Tracker who never gives up. He tends to not stop, even if commanded, he doesn't see the point in giving up. Backround Story: {Told by Fae} No.. I'm in the kennel again. I, after chasing down the last killer, didn't stop. My trainer kept calling, but what's the point of letting an evil human go? Why can't I just take him down now? They've got another dog after him now, while I'm kept here, in a prison myself. I should be the one out there, not some other dog. It was my case. Well, not anymore.. Wait.. I hear something. No, someone. Yes! The door is being opened!! Agh. Why a choker? You know I hate those! "Let's go, Fae." He said, "Hurry now." Back in the field. Punishment is over, well for me. I have this bloody collar on, to "control" me. I was ordered to Track the same guy, given his old shirt, as the familiar scents filled my nose. "Now, Fae! Now!" My Trainer unclipped my leash, and I sprinted into the empty sewer. It must not have been used in a long time.. That's where he was suspected to be. My tongue lolling out of my mouth, I could hear my claws clinking against the ground. Left turn now, but I heard a scream. Stopping in my Tracks, I sniffed the air. I don't smell anything. Nothing besides the normal. A whistle. No, I am not going back to the police. Not yet anyways. I raced toward the sound, my heart beating fast. And faster, hearing now the blood pounding in my ears. I know I'm close now. I hear feet. He must know I'm coming. I-I smell him now. He reeks of blood. Has he claimed another victim? "Fae? Fae come now!" My Trainer says. Heh, I'm not even thinking of returning now. Forget that. "Ah" The blood-smelling man says, "A Tracker Dog, aye?" I growl, stepping closer. "They send a blind dog after me, pathetic cops.." Yes, keep talking, be stupid, so I can pinpoint where you are. I leap, feeling my weight push down the man. Got'cha. "Help! Help!" He shrieked, "Help me!" I hear another of my kind, and smell him too. It's Kratos, the "star" Tracker in our division. And he's very obnoxious, and brags. Who cares if you saved people from a burning building? And an officer is with him now. "Fae! Come now! Bad dog!!!" Bad.. Dog.. It's my officer. "Fae! You're going to kill him, lie down, NOW!" That's what he said with a gun in his hand. He doesn't think I made him bleed, right? Kratos barked sarcastically with his deep voice, "Nice job Fae, killing the criminal.." He laughed, "Failure. You're going to be spending a ton more time in those Kennels." I don't want to go back to the Kennels. And I didn't try and kill the man, who said to my officer, "Get this beast away from me!" He was cuffed soon afterward and taken to prison. I did spend time in the Kennels, about a month, but soon caught down a man wanted for robbery in seven cities. I made up for it. --- What is happening to me? I felt burning as I was injected with a needle. I felt like my blood was on fire, and I was held down with ropes. Fins shot out of my back, and my tail also felt different. After the burning ceased, I was untied, and jumped off the table. I knew I was different. I walked toward my new kennel, smelling water. And lots of it. Meanwhile, I heard Kratos again, and he sounded shocked. "F-Fae? You got an upgrade?" I nodded. I couldn't help but feel a grin. My rival was jealous of me. "Yes I did. Now I'm off to my new Kennel." I followed the strong smell of water, and arrived. The place was all water. What did they think I was? A fish? A heard a human approach me after Kratos left. "Ah, hello little guy, you must be Fae!" A female's voice. It was soft, like a cool autumn wind. I barked, and wagged my brand new tail, trying to act friendly and not show my confusion. I was followed the sound of her footsteps until I reached the room where I would be kept. I smelt the stink- no, Aroma of fish. I hate fish, how could it appeal to me now? The lady spoke yet again, "Fae, come." I went to where I heard her, and she spoke, and I smelled fish again. "Fae? You seem to have your eyes closed." She rubbed my face, and I opened my.. eyes? I saw the world for the first time ever. It was so exciting, yet frightening. The woman, who had very long blond hair said, "Now look at those pretty eyes." She picked up a large device, and light reflected off of it. She held it in front of me, I saw a dog in front of me. It looked right into my eyes. They were so green. Unlike the woman who had pupils, mine were just green completely. They glowed too. The fins that I felt bursting through my skin looked very sharp and harmful to anything that touched them. My tail was forked at the tip, and very thin, also with fins. My paws had fins. Hm, and I have stripes as well. I never thought before what I looked like. Seeing was truly an amazing sight. You didn't have to rely on the other senses, and you could see so many things. "Fae, honey?" I looked at her, now able to see her. -- I remember distinctly the first time I was required to catch a fish. The whole idea seemed unusual and unnatural. Then again, I am not a normal creature. The same woman tossed a live fish into a large tank "Go get it, Fae!" I instinctively leaped in, before she even finished the sentence, not even thinking twice about it. The water was surprisingly warm and relaxing. But it was salt water. I swam after it, underwater. I could see clearly in the water, like my vision was enhanced. The fish jolted to the opposite side of me. I lunged forward, and caught it right in my teeth. Without any trouble at all either. I kept swimming, not wanting to leave the water. -- My first water rescue. A man was aboard a fishing boat and a storm was going on. The boat was slowly sinking. I expected my old owner to arrive, and do jobs just as we had before I got upgraded. He went missing. And still hasn't been found. The female called me over at the docks as I looked at the sky seeing a large lightning bolt in the sky. Oh, this should be fun. I, with a running start, leaped up, and landed on the viewing platform, ready to go. We sailed out, and I headed downward to the basement of our small boat. It was colder down here, and my train of thought was lost as my owner called, "Fae, come'on up!" I ran up to the wheel. The waves were rocking the small boat back and forth, and the storm clouds made it hard to see. Thankfully, my eyes glowed, so I could see at least a little better. My female owner bent down and said to me, "Okay, Fae, see that ship?" She pointed north. "There's a man in there, get him, and bring him back, please." I barked, then ran up the viewing platform. I, with one large jump, dove right into the freezing Atlantic water. I didn't think it'd be this cold. It was obviously Below Zero. I paddled at the surface, halfway through realizing that I could swim underwater. I took a breath, and swam under. I could see much better, and heard the kicking of the man in the water. I kept near the surface because I wasn't sure how long I could hold my breath. The ship was into view, almost completely under. I swam faster, scanning for the man. I hope we was still alive. He came into view, in the water, face down. I swam quickly, grabbing his shirt with my teeth as I went toward the surface. The waves hit my face. {to be continued} |
